There’s nothing better than a sweet baby smile!

July is looking like a very busy newborn month! If you are interested in booking your newborn photography session please be sure to contact me while you are still pregnant to secure your due date on my calendar. Sometimes I do have room for last minute inquiries but please don’t ever count on it. During your pregnancy you may often feel that you don’t have time or energy to invest in a newborn photography session, but please don’t put it off. You will be so glad to get it checked off your list. If you are debating on even booking a session to begin with, I can assure you that you will never regret doing a newborn session, you will only regret not doing one… trust me, it happened to me. Before I was a Maryland Newborn Photographer I worked in the office and life was busy trying to prepare for the new baby, get worked wrapped up for maternity leave, and all that other stuff that requires so much of your time and makes you feel a little run down. I put off scheduling my newborn session with my photographer and guess that, it never happened. Once the baby arrives you have just a short window to capture that pure newborn innocence and get them all curled up in a pose to capture that precious new baby. Most people don’t realize that newborn photography sessions take place before your baby is two weeks of age. Day five to ten being the best. After this time, believe it or not, babies change so much. They are more alert and sleep less soundly, baby acne can begin, and colic can also set in. So take my word for it, book your newborn photography session now, please don’t wait.

Baby Keaton | Maryland Newborn Photographer

Sometimes these little precious newborns come to their photography sessions with their own plans. I mean, they do run the show and whatever they say goes, right?! Sweet little Keaton came to her newborn photography session with her own plans. She wasn’t interested in doing posed images in her birthday suit. She wanted to sleep, but at the same time she wanted to know what was going on in the studio that day. She kept her eyes closed for most of the time, but she would give me a peek here and there just to let me know that she had her eye on me. She wanted to be kept tight and snug so that she felt secure. No problem sweet baby girl! I sweet talked her in to wrapping her up in a swaddle and doing some adorable set ups with her. She agreed and said that was perfectly fine. I had a great time with baby Keaton and her sweet family. Big bother, Kyan, was so adorable and was so excited that his little baby sister is finally here!

Cash’s sitting milestone | Maryland Baby Photographer

A few months back sweet little Cash came to see me for his sitting milestone session. It’s so amazing to see these little babies grow so much in such a short period of time. I could still see his sweet little newborn face when he looked at me with those gorgeous eyes of his. He was full of smiles during our session and he was making me laugh as he was trying to crawl out of the props at his little age. I have a feeling that he’s going to be an early walker and will not only be walking, but running by the time we do his standing milestone session in a few weeks.

Take a peek at an image from his newborn photography session that I photographed last July, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year! I love how I was able to get him back in the wagon during his sitting milestone. I love watching him grow.

Isn’t she the sweetest!! I’m not really big into accessories during my newborn photography sessions, but a nice touch of a delicate headband just makes me smile when I use them on little baby girls. I had a great time with baby Cienna and her older brothers. Just posting a little sneak peak for now. Check back soon to see more.
