A Valentine’s Treat with a Maryland Newborn Photographer

Can you believe it’s February already? The New Year has come and gone and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This is the time of year when we look for the perfect way to say I love you to someone special. If you’re a new mom, this year’s search may prove challenging.

After all, who has time to shop for a romantic gift? You’re busy juggling diaper changes, feeding schedules, and just trying to catch a few minutes of sleep in between. I completely understand; I was a new mom once too. Having now been a Maryland Newborn Photographer for almost two years, I learned early on how to juggle being a mom and a career woman. I’m the proud mother of three beautiful children. They are part of the reason I found and followed my passion for photography.

With that in mind, I’d like to make a suggestion for this Valentine’s Day: keep it simple; simply beautiful that is.

Capturing Love Through the Camera Lens
Life as a Maryland Newborn Photographer has taught me some pretty unique lessons. This job isn’t just about soothing little ones, finding props, and waiting for that “perfect” shot; it’s about capturing something words can’t articulate: the singular bond between parent and child; a living, breathing moment of love captured in my lens.

Being able to catch and preserve those moments of love, laughter, and the subtle nuances of your baby’s first year is what moves me as an artist. More than that, these pictures are keepsakes of a precious stage in your child’s life. Right now, everything may feel fresh and vivid, but as time passes, you lose some of the unique details of your baby’s first months.

There’s no time like the present to start your own collection of keepsakes. Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to share the gift of your baby with someone you love. What better way to say I love you than a Valentine photo session?

Give mom and baby a chance to relax, get pampered, and feel beautiful. Give dad some one-on-one bonding time or surprise him with a once-in-a-lifetime gift. Spread the love and send baby’s first year valentines to family and friends. Whatever your goal, as a Maryland Newborn Photographer, I’ll help you meet it.

Love is in the Air
As a new parent, you may feel like you don’t have the time or energy to invest in a newborn photo session. Once again, I relate. I went through the same thing with my son, Landon. I felt sleepy, I was trying to get the nursing down pat, and I just didn’t realize how important it was to capture that moment. To this day, I regret not capturing more of his time as a newborn – time that is so precious and so brief.

For that reason, I try to make these sessions as easy, natural, and comfortable as possible. You can come to my Annapolis studio or I can come to you. Choose the option that works best for you and I’ll meet you where you are.

Let me help you encapsulate a lasting impression of love this Valentine’s Day. Find out more about how to schedule a session through the contact links on my website.

Week 2 – Project 365 | Maryland Baby Photographer

Project 365, January 8 through January 14

It’s only week two??? I have fifty more weeks of this? My kids are starting to hide when they see my camera. Seriously, they are, that’s why most of the images are of Landon but even he’s been hiding. It’s a lot of fun though and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve gotten more photographs of my children in these two weeks than I did almost all of last year. Some days are better than others, and that’s okay. I didn’t set high standards when I committed myself to doing this project. I even told myself a photo with my cell phone would even be good enough.

I hope you’re enjoying the daily photos. I would love to hear your favorite from this week. Please share with me.
