Sweet baby Armaan was three weeks new when I met him for his newborn photography session in my Bel Air, Maryland studio. Sometimes parents don’t think about a newborn session until after the baby has arrived. While I highly recommend scheduling your newborn session during your pregnancy to guarantee your spot, it may not be until your baby is a few weeks old that you decide to schedule your newborn photography session, and that’s okay! There are times when I am able to accommodate those last minute inquiries and get the baby in the studio. I was so thankful that I had room for baby Armaan. We often hear of the newborn photography window as being less than fourteen days, but babies in their third week are good sleepers too! Babies beyond the two week mark may just not sleep as soundly during newborn posing as compared to the babies in their first two weeks of life. As every newborn is always so different and no two photography sessions are ever a like, sweet baby Armaan give me a little bit of awake time AND sleepy time. He was extremely calm while he was awake and made great eye contact with me. He was even cooing and trying to have a little conversation with me. It was very impressive for a three week old baby.
I know it sounds cliche, but it truly is a privilege to photograph these precious newborn babies when they are so tender and new. I love watching new parents come into the studio just overjoyed with love for their new baby. I love being a part of this time and capturing precious memories for new families throughout Maryland and Virginia.
I hope you enjoy my favorites from this session.
